British Broadcasting Corporation - As Sports Business Analyst for the BBC, Rick will be a regular contributor to the global “World Sport” show on Saturdays, and will respond to breaking news and analysis.

BusinessWeek - Sports Business Editor responsible for producing and maintaining a “Sports and Entertainment Dollar” column, “Sports Business Minute” streaming video, and a podcast on a weekly basis.

 

Career Sports & Entertainment - The Sports Professor is partnering with the team at CS&E to produce The $ports Take. CS&E is a full-service sports and entertainment agency with focuses on media, marketing, and client representation.

 

CBS12, WPEC - Rick is the Sports Business Analyst for the West Palm Beach CBS affiliate.  His weekly segment about South Florida sports business airs on Saturday mornings at 9:15am.

 

Cisco - Strategic Advisor for identifying sports and facility business opportunities for the “Stadium of the Future”, and other technology partnerships. Cisco also sponsored the foxsports.com “Sports Business Minutes”.

Hardcore Sports Radio - Sports Business Analyst for Sports Canada/Hardcore Sports Radio on Sirius Radio channel 98.

 

HKS, Inc. - An interntaional architecture firm based out of Dallas, TX, HKS has designed and built some of the world’s most prominent sporting venues. Included in HKS’ portfolio are the new Cowboys Stadium, Lucas Oil Stadium, and the under construction Liverpool FC Stadium.

 

Honda Classic - Co-Chairman with Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross of the Hyundai Pro-Am to benefit Nicklaus children’s charities and the Melanoma Foundation.

 

Melanoma Foundation - Creator of the Ben Horrow Memorial Trophy presented annually at the Kahn Foundation Melanoma Memorial Golf Tournament.


Miami Dolphins - Coordinating projects relating to public/private facility partnerships, Latin America expansion, and technology development.

 

Morgan James Publishers - Co-authoring with Karla Swatek Beyond the Box Score: The Sports Professor’s Guide to the $750 Billion Business of Sports, publication date January 2010. In addition, assists Morgan James Publishers in identifying other publication opportunities in the sports business, law, and marketing fields.

 

Northern Trust - Host of the seminar series entitled “When Your Game is on the Line”, focusing on the Ten Horrow Principles of business success.

 

Pop Warner - Appointed to the Pop Warner Board of Directors in 2008, tasks include generating awareness and sponsorships for the organization in conjunction with the National Counsel for Youth Sports, which reaches 52 million youngsters around North America. Pop Warner is also actively involved in “Operation Field Rescue” projects around the country.

 

Sports Business International - North American Strategic Advisor responsible for generating international business develoment opportunities in Canada and the US. Also, Co-Chairman of seminar series in Europe, Latin America, Far East, and “potentially Africa”

 

Squire Sanders Dempsey - Officially designated Of Counsel to Squire, Sanders, and Dempsey. Responsible for creating strategic initiatives in sports, entertainment, facilities and infrastructure.

 

Versus - A wholly owned company of Comcast, Versus is the home of The $ports Take, a weekly show dedicated to sports business and hosted by Rick Horrow. $ports Take will air on Versus Tuesdays at 6:30p ET, with encore episodes Wednesdays at 4p.
