Karla Swatek

Karla Swatek is Marketing Director for Horrow Sports Ventures. Before establishing her own company, Swatek and Davidson Associates, a San Diego, CA-based business marketing firm, in 1999, Swatek served as Publicity Director of Berrett-Koehler Publishers, San Francisco, and Pfeiffer and Company, San Diego. She has also served as Planned Television Arts' affiliate West Coast Publicity Director in addition to handling independent projects.
She has previously worked with: Ken Blanchard/Blanchard Training and Development; Peter Ueberroth; VISA Founder Dee Hock; Hoover's Inc. Founder Gary Hoover; USC football coach John Robinson, Robert Hagstrom (The NASCAR Way), feminist Shere Hite, Toronto Globe & Mail columnist Barbara Moses, and raw foodist/Sci-Fi Channel personality David Wolfe.
Swatek is a graduate of Santa Clara University, and did graduate work at Radcliffe College and Stanford University. Before entering the sports marketing and publishing fields, she did editorial and corporate communications work in Silicon Valley.
Swatek lives in Carlsbad, California with her husband Mike Davidson and seven year-old son Andrew.
